More details released about the Zenvo ST1
January 21, 2010 by Ryan · Leave a Comment
Zenvo Automotive may not have the prestige like that of the Bugatti or a Corvette but the Danish car maker aims to join the ranks of these marques with their Zenvo ST1. The ST1 derives the DNA of its engine from the Corvette Z06.
The ST on its tag explains it all. The 7.0L engine will be supercharged and turbocharged to squeeze out an amazing 1,104 horsepower and a torque of 1055 poun-feet. The figures double the output of the LS7 stock engine.
The power of the engine is transferred to its wheels by a six-speed manual transmission system. The bi-fuel setup powerplant can zoom from 0 to 60 mph in a blink of 3.0 seconds and reach a lightning speed of 233mph.
The Zenvo ST1 designers used steel space frame for the bones of the car and laid down carbon fiber for its shell. It is also set up with an adjustable stabilizers and shocks, and double-wishbone suspension. The car gets 19 inch Michelin tires in front while a bigger 20 inch rolls at the rear.
Zenvo will only 15 units of this speed monster. The cars are all hand-built and the sticker price for the Zenvo ST1 is expected to start at $1,275,000.
With its looks and the power under its hood, the Danish beast can really give the Ferrari and Lamborghini a fierce fight as a poster car. The recently unveiled Arash AF-10 may also look a little weak when you look at the price-performance numbers.

September 27, 2009 by Ryan · Leave a Comment
The custom interpretations of the Porsche supercar Carrera GT by Gemballa made eyes pop and made the tuning house as the best in modifying the Carrera GT. The German tuner is now toying with the Carbon Edition of the Mirage GT first seen in February. Everyone holds their breath in anticipation of amazing variations.
Gemballa will take the Mirage into new heights but with a certain exclusivity with the famous tuner producing only five samples.
The Gemballa GT release can whoop some rivals on the road with 750 horsepower. The Carbon Edition runs with a 670hp power plant with a torque of 465lb-ft. Imagine riding the untweaked Carbon Edition which is 50hp more powerful than the Carrera GT stock. What Gemballa did to the Mirage brings an extra shot of excitement with every chance behind the wheel.
The Gemballa achievement is not all hype. It is backed up by stats. The Gemballa tuned GT can blast from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Give it 9.7 seconds and it is at lightning speed of 124mph. The numbers are a bit faster than the stock record. The boost also gave the GT a top speed of 208 mph or 335 km/h.

Design your own Rolls-Royce Ghost with an online visualizer
In order to keep the hordes of RR loyalists and consumers interested, Rolls-Royce has created a website that features only one of its models—the Ghost. The site is complete with computer generated images and press releases.
The most amazing feature is perhaps the site’s “visualizer” that enables people to come up with their own color schemes to match their preferred interiors and exteriors. To make the site more enjoyable, it also allows you to adjust the trims and dash. Just how cool is that!
As we have scene in recent spy photos, the Rolls-Royce Ghost looks like the Rolls Royce 200EX concept car. Several users have said that the images produced online for both interior and exterior is close pretty close the specifications of the final production.
Despite the global financial crisis that has several car makers all over the world in a steady downward spin with possible bankruptcy threats, foreclosures, and purchase, the production of the new Rolls-Royce Ghost is right on track. The Ghost will push forward s the first few models will be joining the line ups in showrooms. It is assumed that the Ghost models will come out early in 2011.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is aimed at its high-end competitors: Mercedes-Benz and BMW (read up on BMW on BMW Blog, BMWTalk.net). It is also expected to compete with Bentley’s Continental line up. With these information at hand, we could only assume that the Ghost will have the heavy price tag that would fall in between $200,000 and $300,000.

You may recognize the genes of the distant relative Jaguar XKR when stare at a Vantage. From front to rear, it may be the car you have wanted to draw since you were a fourth grader. It is a car that does not need to exert efforts to impress.
The interior is an elegant mix of technological, technical, and traditional styles. It is like riding a Steinway piano that can blaze on the road in a blink of an eye.
The push is not as impressive as the Porsche 911 Turbo but the 2009 Aston Martin Vantage knows how to send some tingles to your spine. You can feel the 420 horsepower V8 4.7L power plant under its hood that can push you back your seat as it flies from 0 to 60 in just 4.7 seconds.

CarPlatform posted this awesome video of a drifting Lambo Murcielago on Youtube and I just had to share. This LP670-4 Superveloce is looking like a sick sick ride, and I can’t wait to give it a twirl when one arrives at my “local” Lambo-dealer (who is a friend of mine, luckily).
